Built on
solid ground.
Bearish and Bullish Concreting pours driveways, shed pads, kerbing and exterior concrete across Perth. Markets move. Good concrete doesn't.
What we pour
Four services, one standard: engineered right, finished clean, built to hold.
Driveways
From a single crossover to a full circular driveway, poured to Australian Standard AS 2870 with SL72 mesh reinforcement and drainage falls set so water goes where it should. We handle the council crossover permit paperwork for you.
Shed & garage pads
Level, load-rated pads sized to your structure's engineering specs, with damp-proof membrane and edge thickening wherever your shed or garage manufacturer calls for it.
Kerbing & edging
Hand-formed kerb for garden beds, driveway edges and car parks, cut to your line and grade so mowing and mulch stay exactly where they belong.
Exterior concreting
Paths, patios, pool surrounds and alfresco slabs finished to match your outdoor design, whether that's a clean broom finish or a full exposed-aggregate or stencilled pattern.
How a pour comes together
The same four stages, whatever's going in the ground.
Site visit & fixed quote
We walk the site, check access and drainage falls, and give you one fixed price in writing. No surprises on pour day.
Prep & formwork
Excavation, compacted road base, and formwork set to grade and fall — plus council crossover permits handled where needed.
Steel & pour
Mesh laid on bar chairs so it sits mid-slab, concrete ordered to spec, and control joints placed to manage where any shrinkage cracking occurs.
Finish & cure
Your chosen finish is worked in while the slab is still green, then it's covered and cured properly before we hand it back to you.
How it's built
A look under the surface of every pour. These are illustrative diagrams — swap this section for photos of your own completed jobs once you have them.
Driveway cross-section
Every layer under the surface, built to spec before the first barrow of concrete goes in.
Shed pad, plan view
Control joints placed on a grid so any shrinkage cracking happens along a clean, deliberate line — not through the middle of your pad.
Kerb profile
Hand-formed to your line and grade, cast against compacted base for a lip that won't shift underfoot.
Exposed aggregate finish
Top layer washed back to reveal the stone, with joints placed to break up the panel evenly.
Every slab is engineered against Australian Standard AS 2870 for residential slabs, whatever finish sits on top of it.

What the job dockets say
Three examples of the kind of feedback we aim for — marked SAMPLE because they're placeholders. Replace with real customer reviews before this site goes live.
"Turned up on time, formwork was dead straight, and the exposed aggregate finish looks better than the display home we copied it from."
"Fixed price stayed fixed. They sorted the crossover permit with council so we didn't have to think about it at all."
"Shed pad was level to the millimetre and cured a week before the shed even arrived. Site left cleaner than they found it."
Why "Bearish and Bullish"?
We named the business after the two things that never seem to agree: bull markets and bear markets. Everything else moves — interest rates, material costs, the weather. Concrete doesn't care. Get the base right and the mix right, and a slab poured today will outlast every market cycle it sits through.
That's the whole philosophy. Whatever's happening everywhere else, what we pour stays flat, stays level, and stays put.
